Wound Care in the West Palm Beach Area

At-Home Wound Care Program

Options Home Health’s wound care in-home health program is designed to treat the full spectrum of skin care needs, from minor skin irritations and injuries to complex wounds. Our wound experts assess the patient’s skin condition and the cause of the problem, report the condition to the patient’s physician and recommend treatment.

Our nurses undergo an extensive wound orientation and education program that covers the latest product advances and industry best practices, including wound Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC) certification. Options Home Health has enjoyed great success in treating nonhealing and problematic wound patients at home, which is the most comfortable and cost-effective environment.

Our Comprehensive Wound Program

Our clinicians work in conjunction with the physician and local wound care center to continually evaluate wound healing and response to treatment. The main goals of this program are to prevent infections or other complications, and to help patients heal and return to their normal daily activities.

Patient education is a major component of our wound care home health program. Education is tailored to the patient’s individual needs and focuses on eliminating factors that cause skin problems or interfere with healing. The individualized care plan includes education on preventing infection, relieving pressure, controlling diabetes and the dietary nutrients that promote healing.
